We have tested this watch with a proper Energizer battery for Accutron watches, it has kept running and kept time during this test. There is no battery included with this watch, it has been taken out. Here we have a beautiful example of an Accutron 218 Asymmetrical large case watch, classic and unique watch with a giant 14K Gold Filled case marked M7 (1967).Overall cosmetic condition of this watch is stunning, there is very little wear to it in my opinion, take a look and decide for yourself. The watch has been fitted with a generic leather strap to match the watch. As stated we did test the watch for up to 12 hours with a proper battery and the watch did run the entire time and has kept relative accuracy. These watches take a 344 battery which is not included, you will need to procure and install your own battery. 35mm x 39mm (tip to tip). Any watch stands shown in the images DO NOT come with the item, they are for presentation purposes only for this listing. Please examine all photos as they are part of the item description. If I have missed any information in the description it is not intentional.
Not tested and not guaranteed. Watches listed as parts, or repair are basically not working or as per the description are for parts, repair, need fixing. In General mechanical and vintage watches need maintenance and servicing, buyers should expect to have to bring these watches into a watchmaker the same as changing the oil in your car to keep it running although not as often as a car. Mechanical watches are prone to damage if you hit them to hard, drop them, shake them to hard or exert any excessive force on them these have fine moving parts that are often moving at a high speed actions such as using a mechanical watch when hammering things or punching things..
These are examples only and. Most watches are recommended to be serviced every 2 to 5 years, expect that you will need to do the same with any working watch. Generally I do not know the service history of these watches unless its specifically indicated in the listing, so assume that the watch does need servicing now or in the near future. How do vintage watches keep time? Vintage mechanical watches do not keep exact time like its quartz counterparts, expect that watches that we list as working and keeping time unless otherwise specified run with a deviance of.
1-3 mins a day, we consider this to be acceptable for most vintage watches. If the watch in the listing says its tested then I have manually wound the watch and watched it for at least 6 hours. I do not have any sort of automatic watch winder to test automatic functions and or any machines to test the accuracy of watches, generally unless stated I have only done a manual wind test.
If it is an automatic I will generally shake the watch until it starts ticking and then watch it for an hour. After that I will do the manual wind test as per above unless otherwise specified. Vintage watches and mechanical watches need to be services often by a certified watchmaker to keep them running well, similar to your car and oil changes. Unless specified in the listing watches are not serviced and will need to go to a watchmaker for a checkup and service to be good time keepers and continue running smoothly. We generally unless specified do not know the watches service history. Outside North America: May take up to 30 days.
